DANCE EVENT: Move It

"I like to move it, move it... I like to move it, move it!"
Actually, I prefer to watch others do it because my feet are both of the left variety. Throwing shapes on the dancefloor is one thing; choreographed dance moves are a completely different package of ballet shoes.
Lucky for me (and you lot), there's a show coming up to divert our attention away from a complete lack of co-ordination. I'm not talking the Ideal Home Show... I'm on about MOVE IT 2007, Britain's biggest dance event. Brace yourself... National Hall, Olympia is set to fill with
2,000 dancers - 90 live performances - 150 exhibitors - 140 classes - 20 major seminars and 18,000 dance-crazy visitors (that's us). I'm feeling hot and sweaty already.
The good news is, you can watch on as others twist and jive, or you can get in on the dance class action for £2 each.
Wrap your tootsies around bollywood, ballroom, jazz, street, ballet or salsa. There will also be Argentine Tango, a Nike Rockstar Workout and a Ballroom Taster Class with Matthew and Nicole from Strictly Come Dancing. I like the sound of ZooNation, Ballet Black and Illusion Flamenca live on stage. Ahhh... the life of an observor. You can also buy every type of conceivable dance kit on the planet. You know what, I'm feeling inspired... Fox-Trot here I come. Sure beats a day at the gym.
MOVE IT 2007.
Friday March 16th to Sunday March 18th 2007.
National Hall, Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London W14.
