Sausage Night III: The Revenge of the Sausage
Friday 30 Mar 2007, 8pm
Since I volunteered at the BAC for their iRabbit production, it's been at the top of my venue lists for off West End theatre. The people down (or up?!) there are the types of bouncy passionate theatre buffs you can't help warming to. There's never a dull moment - our last brush with the South London venue involved a pre-show shot of spirits; it now looks like we're also set to have a dose of sausage and comedy down our gaping gullets. All in the name of fundraising...
For one night only, London sees the return of BAC's 'Sausage Night'. Here's the meaty details:
Simon Amstell (anchor man of BBC 2s Nevermind the Buzzcocks), Scott Capurro (Perrier Award winner, star of Channel 4s The Truth About Gay Animals), Stewart Lee (co-creator of Jerry Springer: The Opera), Josie Long (winner of If.comeddies Best Newcomer award 2006) and Mark Thomas (star of Channel 4s The Mark Thomas Comedy Product). The evening will be compered by the amazing Robin Ince (Chortle Best Compere nominee 2007), and will feature a special surprise guest.
We're told you even get a "tasty sausage"... we're just glad a full bar will operate on the night too. Free flowing laughs, booze and comedy - now THAT'S the life. Full marks to the BAC (can they do no wrong?).
