Yes, my year has been made! I wrote earlier on in the blog that I hoped Little Shop of Horrors would transfer to the West End and the theatre gods have answered my prayers.
The Menier Chocolate Factory's gob smacking production of Little Shop of Horrors will transfer to the West End. It just goes to show what a hot little talent breaking venue they are. The cast will stick with the production except for Jasper Britton (pity he was hillarious) who played the nutter of a dentist. He will be replaced by comedian Alistair McGowan so the laughs are in good hands. Lead stars Sheridan Smith and Paul Keating will surely do as well on the big stage as well as the small. I have to say though, I'm glad I saw the 'up close and personal' version.
Fear not, they won't be lost in the curtains... the production will transfer to the Duke of York's Theatre which is as intimate as they get. You can see it there from March 6th.
