The votes are in and the jury has decided... Claire is by far our theatre fan of the week.
You just need to check out her blogs, the girl is a self confessed Wicked fanatic. She's reviewed it four times and has met some of the UK cast. It's amazing what a bit of persistence can do. She's an Idina Menzel-a-holic (it's a rare and deadly condition, trust me) and was there for her idols last West End performance. Read on for her song-by-song review...
Fan of the week Claire not only loves Wicked, she also reviews it... again and again.
She was there for Idina Menzel's last London performance - here's what she had to say:
"I can't believe that's it. Idina's never going to be Elphaba again
I went to Idina's last matinee - which, hands down, was the best show out of the four I've seen. Idina, Helen and the whole cast completely blew the roof off the theatre and trampled over every other show in the West End. I had an amazing time ... I just can't believe it's all over now.
No One Mourns The Wicked - as soon as that projection of Elphaba appeared it kind of set in that this, for me, was the last time I'd ever see these Idina moments happen on stage. It was very emotional, but as soon as Helen comes down in that bubble you believe you're seeing it for the first time again, and no matter how many times you've seen her do the same things, it's still breath-takingly amazing. The Witch's mother is a highlight for me - she's such a slut! Helen owns this song entirely. End of song - room erupts.
Dear Old Shiz - Huge round of appause for Idina was very emotional. I got tears in my eyes, and I'm pretty sure a lot of other's did. It was the longest applause I'd heard for her entrance.
The Wizard And I - The riff at the end of this song made my day! It was sort of "The Wizzzerrrrr-errrrrrrr-eeerrrrrrr-eeerrrDAH! and I!!!" Amazing! People applauded for the riff itself before the end of the song.
What Is This Feeling? - Helen milks her line SO much, it's hillarious! And Idina, instead of saying really bluntly "Blonde" she went *sigh*...blonde...*eyes roll* . This has to be one of my favourite songs purely for the choreography of the students. I absolutely love it!
Something Bad - Utter brilliance again - it's a kind of can Idina steal the scene with her comments or will Helen steal it with her "It's Galinda ... with a GA!!"
Dancing Through Life - Hillarious! Adam kept doing these really camp and OTT dance moves trying to make Helen laugh ... and she did. It was fantastic! Best DTL I'd seen.
Popular - Helen is Galinda. She just is. She did this great moody face after "I told you a really good one..." and there was a big silence. Helen steals the spotlight at this point, she's fantastic. Idina's 'Towsss towwws' was so geeky you could tell they were trying so hard not to laugh.
I'm Not That Girl - Idina sang beautifully, but the train station scene after this stole the show. Idina cracked up with Helen did her "I shall be known as simply ...GLINDA!". Then the moment when the whole room erupted. "Come with me" ... "Where?" ... "To NEW YORK CITY!" Huge applause.
One Short Day - Again, fantastic. They were still all giggly about the NYC remark.
Sentimental Man - Nigel got a huge round of applause when he walked on stage - he looked quite surprised.
Defying Gravity - OMG! Sorry to be so big headed but I had the best view of this ever! I was near the back of the stalls, but when she defyed she was right in my eye-line and I could see the whole thing. Cue Claire crying. Idina was perfection with her riffs at the end of this song. Cue Claire crying more.
Thank Goodness - Amazing again. I really love Helen - she must never be allowed to leave the show ... ever.
Wicked Witch Of The East - It was so sad when Nessa goes "Elphaba, please don't leave me". I bet it was even sadder on the evening show. Katie owns this scene. The last moment between them is heartbreaking.
Wonderful - I'm gonna be honest, I never liked this song on the OBCR ... but I love it when Nigel sings it because he's so funny. He's exactly what the Wizard should look and act like.
I'm Not That Girl [Reprise] - Beautifully tragic.
As Long As You're Mine - Was it me, or did Adam have a little riff of his own going on near the end? I was impressed He was clinging on to her a lot though ... I don't think he wanted her to go either. The catfight scene was amazing also - they really go at each other. Helen's batting Idina with that hat!
No Good Deed - Better than DG. Hands down. With the smoke it's like OMFG! The lighting is fabulous. I just love it.
March Of The Witch Hunters - I still have yet to be able to hear the first lines of the song after NGD. The cheering from the last song is immense.
For Good - A bit teary eyed but I was ok ... WAS being the operative word. But as soon as Helen does her "Oh, Elphie.." line while holding the hat, that was it. I was gone, completely.
Finale - I couldn't really see through all the tears in my eyes, but I was just staring at Helen the whole time who was in tears.
HUGE applause.

GREAT Claire... thanks for being part of our theatre buff fan base!
A quick question for you and maybe one to ask your Wicked fan pals. If we ran an interview with one of the current London Wicked cast members, who would you most like it to be? If I get an overwhelming response I'll see what I can do.
Also, if you had one question, what would you ask them?

Hi Katie. If you did an interview I'd love it to be with Helen Dallimore - she's so fantasic! If I could ask her anything, I'd ask what she thinks of all the fans that wait for her by the Stage Door, cause there's a lot of 'em! :)
