A certain big breasted glamour model and her orange tinged Aussie Andre were recently splashed all over the media for their slaughtering rendition of 'A Whole New World' from Disney's Aladdin.
Now, it seems that another set of Disney songs are due to rise from the cartoon dust.
The musical The Little Mermaid is rumoured to hit Broadway next year. Bring it on! It was only the other day that I sang 'Under The Sea' on the tube on the way home from work. I knew I was on to something when I proclaimed: "They should do this on stage".
Catchy songs, a gooey storyline and the potential for some amazing visual tricks... it's surely great Musical fodder. After all, if Coram Boy at the National Theatre can represent an underwater scene with such stunning conviction, Disney can surely come up trumps.
The only thing left is to wait for the UK Flounder auditions. Or... I've always fancied myself as a sea snail.
What would you love to see turned into a musical? A dancing Yoda in Star Wars would be worth a ticket. Post your suggestions in the comments section.
